Looking forward to anything you share from opened sealed games!

Re: reg cards, from memory, yes a game in 92 might still have a reg card that says 3/91 - I find the reg cards most useful for saying "this 3/91 reg card definitely did NOT come with this game from 1990"

If I get a chance I'll try to write up a little more from a computer (instead of my phone)

I think I found a variant for NBA Jam Tournament Edition? Has anyone ever seen one with this sticker before?:

The boxes and manuals were otherwise identical as far as i could tell, but one cart had a "Denver Nuggets" sticker... unless it's just something some kid stuck on it

I opened Mortal Kombat II recently.
Here is the pics (clickable).
There is no Aura Interactor insert in the spreadsheet.

Awesome! Updated and marked as "Verified (S)" with you given credit.

According to my spreadsheet, that Aura Interactor insert was also included with WWF Raw.

So I spotted one not in your matrix, NHLPA Hockey 93 has a variant with the "1st Round Limited Edition" badge in the bottom left corner. The carts/manuals for both otherwise look identical, but both were open/used ebay finds so take that with a grain of salt.

Ah yes, thank you. I still haven't done a full sweep for all of the EA Sports games that got that "1st Round" release, but I have now added that one to the list!

I opened these a while ago. I've been meaning to get them posted on here sooner but have been busy with work. The Sparkster and Ecco Tides of Time confirm what was already known. Didn't find a pink insert in the Super Baseball 2020; just the poster and the registration card.

Here's a Judge Dredd I opened.  It came with the America Online disk but no poster or registration card    Might have been a reseal but it doesn't appear to have any visible use.  Found a copy with the card and the poster for $5 on ebay so I purchased that to complete the game.  I remembered to take some pictures of the seal and have attached them as well.

So I see Klax has two variants listed, one clamshell and one slidebox. I've received a few copies of the clamshell release as part of bulk eBay listings, but one has a glossy color manual, and one has a matte b/w manual (they're both opened/used). Is it possible there's two clamshell variants (one with the color manual, one with b/w), or is it more likely that someone just took the (presumably) b/w manual from the slidebox release and stuck it in a clamshell?

Also....just wanted to share this...

http://imgur.com/a/8K38h71...

Manage to finally get my hands on 2 copies of "Not for Resale" Ranger X games....but notice that the "Not for Resale" label on the inserts are different on the 2 copies (one is way bigger than the other one)

Don't know if this is enough to see it as a variant...since everything else is the same, but it is definitely a notable difference on the front part.

Let me know what you guys think.

Regarding Klax, it possible that there are two different clamshell releases. I haven't watched Klax too closely, as each time I do a search there aren't too many available listings. My guess is that it is a mismatch, especially given that they received in a bulk lot versus say from a collector that has items in great condition or with original receipts, but something to watch for!

Young Indiana Jones is one I already opened up and marked blue, but good to get extra confirmation!

As to Ranger X - good catch! I am aware of the two different Ranger X Not For Resale releases (and I own both!) but I didn't realize that it wasn't in my spreadsheet. I'll get it updated

The thing that really has me confused...is that apparently there is a fourth version of Ranger X....

I have seen a couple of times a cart with a " white sega logo label".....at the begginig i thought that it was a fluke...but already seen them a couple of times....

Do you know anything about it.....???

Like a sticker on the cartridge? a white one? I've never seen it.

I just got my collection back into my possession (out of storage) so now I'll be able to reference my own collection every now and then

Also another Variant to take notice is Strider Returns:

http://imgur.com/a/QCTy3id...

Both variant apparently uses the same insert on the box.....but the manual and the cart are different.

I do not think the one title "Strider II" has a Registration card since it has written on it " Strider Returns"...( when I bought this copy it just came with the manual , I added and additional registration card that I had save from other purchases)

This is the cart I'm talking about...

s://www.ebay.com/itm/Sega-Genesis...

I think is legit......cause have seem it before....would have bought this copy but sadly it has label damage....

The question is what is the story behind it?.....did it came on a " not for resale package"..??.....maybe will never know....

Giancarlogb, do you happen to notice anything on the case of this copy that would distinguish it from a copy without a fruit roll up?  I remember someone opened a copy that didn't have the fruit roll and I was wondering if there was anything unique to the release with it on the case.

I have Greatest Heavyweights, Panic on Funkotron and Asterix with the fruit roll ups.  They were all purchased sealed.  Does anyone have copies of these they purchased sealed that didn't come with the fruit roll ups for comparison?

That was me.
Two copies without fruit roll. And i'm pretty sure they has legit seal. Didn't notice any difference.
